Present Professional Position
Assistant Professor of Sociology, University of Nevada, Reno, 2025-present
Personal Statement:
I am excited to run for council in the emotions section. I will begin as a tenure-track assistant professor at University of Nevada, Reno starting July 2025. As a scholar of affect control theory and identity theory, I look forward to the opportunity to work with others who study emotions and affect. I hope to build out more membership and work especially to encourage graduate students to join the section who work on emotions but may not think of themselves as "emotions scholars."
